   Itinerary

   

 

Day 1 Arrive in Lhasa by plane or by train

You’ll be welcomed to Lhasa by one of our professional employees. If you choose to arrive by train, our employees will meet with you at the train station, please let us know your arrival time.

 

However, for airport pick-up, you must book tickets that arrive into Lhasa between 11:00am-12:00pm or between 2:30 to 3:30pm.  If you flight is outside of these time, there is an extra $50 dollars pick-up fee.

 

You’ll be drop off at the selected hotel accommodation and you’ll have the rest of the day to adjust to the change in high attitude. If you feel sick or experience any discomfort and needs medical assistance, please let us know.

Day 2 Lhasa Sightseeing: Potala Palace/ Jokhang Temple/Barkhor Street (B)

We begin the day with a visit to the famous Potala Palace. The Palace is one of the top attractions to see in Tibet and is considered a holy place by many of the local people. Constructed in the 7th century by then the Tibet emperor, the palace was renovated in the 17th century and now houses many Tibetan historical and religious art and artifacts. This is the famous Palace that most people associated Tibet with.

 

In the afternoon we will visit what is considered the holist temple in Tibet, the Johkang Temple. After the visit, we will stop by the Barkhor Street, where you can purchase local merchandises.

Day 3 Lhasa Sightseeing: Drepung Monastery/ Sera Monastery (B)

After a good night sleep, we begin the day with a visit to the two most important monasteries in Lhasa, the Drepung and the Sera. If we are lucky, we might even come across Sera Monastery’s Monks holding their daily prayers in the courtyard.

 

You’ll have the rest of the afternoon and evening to explore on your own in Lhasa or if you didn’t have enough time to shop yesterday, your tour guide will be happy to guide you back to Barkhor Street or any other place you wish to shop.

Day 4 Lhasa/Yamdrotso lake/Gyangtse/ Shigatse (B)

After having breakfast in Lhasa, we’ll be moving westward toward the second largest city in Tibet, Shigatse. The journey will allow you the opportunity to see Nyangchu Valley, Yamdro-tso Lakes, and the Karo-La Glacier. We’ll stop by the road for pictures and an opportunity for you to enjoy the beauty in Tibet.

 

After we enter Shigatse, we will stop by Gyangtse and Shigatse Monastery. These monasteries were hosted by the Pamchan Lama. You’ll have the night to explore the city and talk with the local folks. The city is very friendly and well known for its hospitality.

Day 5 Shigatse/ Lhatse/ Tingri (Shegar)/Tingri/ Rongphu Monastery(B)

You will have the opportunity to spend the morning in Shigatse where you can do some shopping. Afterward, we will make our way to Tingri. The trip is a little bit rough since the road is not well paved. However, on a clear day, you’ll have the opportunity to see the surrounding mountains and the tallest stands at 8000 meters. We also have the opportunity to see the local nomadic people. For the night, we will either stay at the Rongphu Monastery or at local Guest House.

Day 6 Rongphu Monastery/Everest Base Camp/ Tingri/ Shigatse

Our day in Rongphu begins with a beautiful view of the sunrise and the monastery. We then journey toward Mt. Everest where you will see the earth’s highest mountain, Mt. Everest. Our journey only takes us to the base camp where all Mt. Everest climbers start their journey. At the base camp you will have the opportunity to rest and take a short break and if we are lucky, maybe chat with a few Mt. Everest climbers. We’ll then take a bus to our photo point where you can take pictures of the Mountain. After our day at Mt. Everest, we will journey back to Zhangmu.

Day 7 Drop off at Nepalese Bolder (B)

You will have the opportunity to enjoy breakfast at our hotel in Zhangmu. After breakfast your tour guide will see you off at the border bridge between China and Nepal and ensures that you cross into Nepal. This will conclude our service.
